Meanwhile, the thing that bugs me the most about arguments like this is that people will condemn the entire genre of rap/hip-hop based on a few songs. I mean, shit, is it fair to condemn Shabazz Palaces or The Roots because they share a genre with misogynist songs by Lil Jon or whoever? After all, “Something In Your Mouth” by Nickelback is a rock song—do the people who make these arguments insist upon hating all rock music because of that song’s lyrics? I doubt it.
