Next time you go to sell a disc to Lincoln Square music junkies Laurie’s Planet of Sound, you might want to crosscheck your collection against their “Do Not Buy Never Ever” list posted by an employee recently.
There are like a dozen really awesome artists mixed into this list that is mostly entirely accurate about the ubiquitous debris of the CD era. For example, what are the Grifters and Samiam doing on this list? I at least understand the Tanya Donelly/King Missile entries based on the fact that each of them had one ubiquitous hit in the mid-90s, but I’ll bet the rest of their catalogs would still sell… but hey, what do I know, I don’t actually work at this place.
