justinborucki: Coalesce @ the Joint, Staten Island NY 1997 Watching Jes Steineger play guitar reminds me of the background characters in Guitar Hero. In that game, the more into it you are, the less actual guitar-playing your character does and the more crazy hectic shit happens instead. Jes Steineger’s best moments during live Coalesce shows often share somewhat of a spiritual kinship with a cartoon character spinning a guitar over its head like a helicopter. Case in point: starting about 2 minutes into this video.
