It has come to my attention that the tumblr masses may not be aware of the extent of Indian Summer’s vinyl releases. To combat that lack of knowledge, I decided to post a picture of three more of my Indian Summer records. In the picture, clockwise from top left, are:
Indian Summer/Embassy split. Slave Cut Records, 1994. The Indian Summer insert simply says: “indian summer. i think xyour train is leaving.” and a surely-outdated address in Oakland CA.
Indian Summer/Ordination of Aaron split. Inchworm Records, 1995. People have declared the Indian Summer songs on here to be titled “Touch the Wings Of An Angel… Doesn’t Mean You Can Fly” and “Truman.” This is the record that provides the least evidence for official song titles out of Indian Summer’s entire discography.
Eucalyptus double 7 inch compilation. Flutterby Tree Conspiracy (later known as Tree Records), 1995. This record is the source of the “Touch The Wings Of An Angel” song title. It contains the same song that was first on the OOA split, as well as songs by Current, Embassy, Allure, Shroomunion, Julia, and Boilermaker.
Other Indian Summer vinyl appearances that occurred while they were still together: the aforementioned self-titled EP (“Aren’t You Angel”/”Millimeter”/”Angry Son” and split with Current (“Orchard”), contribution to the Ghost Dance double 7 inch compilation (“Sugar Pill”), contribution to the Inchworm Records Food Not Bombs Benefit LP (“Reflections On Milkweed”).
